Rules for Balta Demo Derby
1.
There is a $ 40 entry fee
for driver and car. Late fee of
$20 will be charged if not in by 11:OO AM Aug 6.

Pit fee $10 for additional pitmen.
Must have pit pass to be in pits.

1978 or newer passenger car. NO
1978 MOPARS 1979 AND NEWER ONLY.

Any driver under 18 years old must have parental consent signed

You are allowed two fires - after that you’re done.

All glass, trim, chrome and interior must be removed.

Stock cooling, electrical fans allowed.
Extra tranny coolers allowed but must be mounted safely.

Gas tank must be behind drivers seat, hold no more than 6 gallons,
and be mounted securely. NO TARP STRAPS

Batteries must be moved to passenger floorboard and properly secured.

Bumpers are interchangeable but must be GM to GM or Ford to Ford.
Passenger car only no pickup bumpers.
You can weld bumper brackets to frame.
You can weld shocks and brackets to bumper.

You may have up to a 5-inch weld every 12 inches on the seams of
trunk and doors. Don’t weld on
the frame seams. Factory seams
only. If you choose not to weld
you are allowed to chain trunk and doors with a max of 2 chains per
seam. 3/8 or less.

You may have a bar across your dash for driver safety.
If running a hardtop, you can run a bar behind the seat from door
post to door post. You may weld
or bolt a plate across you drivers door, not to exceed six inches past
each seam. No other bars or iron
may be welded anywhere on car.

No Altering of suspension. No
double springs or stiffening of springs

Hood must have at least a 12-inch hole cut out in case of fire.,
You will be allowed up to 6 hood bolts.
You may have up to 1 inch bolts but must not go to frame.
Hoods will be open for inspection.
Plates for hood bolts cannot exceed 5x5x1/2 inch.
You may also chain your hood with
a max of 2 chains per seams (chain 3/8 or less).

Passanger car tires only.
No double tires or filling tires with anything but air.
No tire skins.
